About Ale Alonso
Ale Alonso is an international DJ & electronic music producer.
She grew up in Mexico City and since the early ages of her childhood took an interest in music. She was most avid in playing the drums, while she also learned basics of guitar and piano, but it was not until she moved to New York City in her early twenties that she dived into the electronic music scene and found her passion.
Ale Alonso is known for her unconventional creations inspired by her Latin roots and affinity for the earthly and tribal sounds. Her favorite genres include Afro House, Latin, Oriental, Tech House, Melodic House & Techno, Progressive, Funk, Nu Disco and others.
Based in London, Alonso has formalized her continuous music production education at the London Sound Academy, a world-renowned school for DJs and Producers. She has been supported by legendary master electronic music producer Hannes Bieger (Germany), and by eminent musical artists such as Yeronimou (Lithuania), Ben Smith (UK), & Ross Palmer (USA).
Along her music career, Ale Alonso is also the CEO and founder of ISOMA Children, a non-for-profit organization based in Tanzania where she aims to provide the Maasai children of the Orkisima village free quality education, and a school programme to support the arts, wildlife conservation and development of the community. Her latest track ‘ISOMA’ unreleased (Afro-house) features the voices of the children from the village and aims to raise funds and awareness for the charitable project.
Passionate about the environment and with a Masters of Science degree in Sustainability Management from prestigious Ivy League, Columbia University, Alonso also supports the ‘Bye Bye Plastic Foundation’ (led by Vivie-Ann aka BLOND:ISH) which aims to eliminate single use plastics in the music industry.
Ale Alonso has been featured in various digital magazines such as ‘Album Insider’, ‘The Voice Gazzette’, ‘Artist On Rise’, among others. She has also been an honorary guest in the Fried Jazz podcast series (Brazil).
